Heavy Aromatic Solvent 150 (also known as solvent C10) is a clear, colorless liquid having a mild aromatic smell as it consists of petroleum hydrocarbons having C10 in predominant form. Solvent 150 is a heavy aromatic solvent having high solvency power, low volatile organic content(VOC), and a high boiling rate as compared to Solvent C9. Aromatic 150 is also known by other names as Solvent Naphtha 150, Solvesso 150, Caromax 150, Shellsol A150, and Heavy Aromatic Solvent Naphtha 150.

Solvent Naphtha 150 has CAS number 64742-94-5 and is manufactured by distillation of aromatic streams that are derived from petroleum products. Solvent C10 has a higher flash point and evaporation rate than Xylene and hence it is used in paints and coatings manufacturing, agrochemical and pesticides formulations, oilfield chemicals manufacturing, and as a wash oil in ethylene crackers.
